Scented Eucalyptus Bunch
Fresh scented eucalyptus foliage in two sizes. It’s one of the more practical things a florist sells because it behaves differently from cut flowers — it dries in place rather than wilting, holds its shape as it dries, and the scent carries through weeks and sometimes months depending on where it’s kept.
Available as a Deluxe (smaller) or Luxury (larger, more abundant) bunch. If you want a regular supply, a subscription can be arranged — email the shop to set it up.
The scent
Clean and herbal — cool and camphor-like rather than sweet or floral. At room temperature it’s a background presence, noticeable up close and when you move through the room. In warmth and steam it gets stronger. That’s the basis of the shower display method: warm steam activates the oils in the leaves and carries the scent through the room. It works, and it works best in a properly steamy shower rather than a slow drizzle.
Fresh eucalyptus is sharper. Dried is softer and more settled — the same family of scent but quieter and more lasting. Both have their uses.
How to display it
Shower: tie the bunch to the shower head or a towel rail with the leaves hanging down, away from the direct spray. The steam does the work. A bunch hung here usually lasts two to four weeks before drying fully, after which the scent fades but the foliage keeps its shape and colour.
Vase: place stems in water for the first week or two while fresh, then remove from water and let it dry in the vase. Eucalyptus is one of the few foliage types that dries well without going brown — the leaves hold their shape and shift to a softer, slightly more muted silver-green. It looks good dry in a way that most foliage doesn’t.
Other options: laid horizontally on a shelf, woven into a wreath frame, tucked alongside dried flowers in a seasonal arrangement. It has enough structural integrity dried to work as a base for other things.
Sizes
Deluxe suits a bathroom display, a single vase, or a subtle accent in a larger room. Luxury is better for a dramatic vase arrangement, a large shower area, or anywhere you want the foliage to fill a space rather than accent it. If in doubt about which to order, consider the surface or space it’s going into.
As a gift
Eucalyptus travels well because it isn’t fragile and doesn’t have a short clock on it the way flowers do. It’s a good choice for people who like natural things in their home but don’t maintain fresh arrangements — it needs almost nothing from the recipient. It pairs naturally with a candle, soap, or bath product if you want something more substantial.
Seasonal variation
Leaf size and colour depth vary slightly between batches depending on the season and source. The differences are minor. The overall look and fragrance are consistent — the product photos are a close reference but the exact shade may differ a little.
Care
Shower display: hang away from direct water, replace every two to three weeks as the leaves dry out and the scent fades. Vase display: trim stems at an angle, place in water for the first week or two, then let it dry in the vase without water. No further maintenance once dry.
FAQ
What does eucalyptus smell like?
Clean and herbal — cool, slightly camphor-like, not sweet or floral. Stronger in warmth and steam, quieter at room temperature. The scent changes slightly as it dries, becoming softer and more settled.
How does the shower display work?
Tie the bunch to your shower head or towel rail with the leaves hanging down, positioned away from the direct spray. Warm shower steam releases the oils in the leaves and carries the scent through the room. It’s more effective with a properly hot shower than a cool one.
What sizes are available?
Deluxe and Luxury. Deluxe suits smaller spaces and subtle accents. Luxury is better for larger displays or anywhere you want the foliage to have real presence.
Can I get regular deliveries?
Yes. A subscription is available — email the shop to set up regular deliveries.
How long does it last?
In a shower, two to four weeks before the leaves dry and the scent fades. In a vase with water, similar — after which it can be left to dry in the vase and will hold its shape and colour for months.
Does it need to go in water?
For the first week or two it benefits from water while the stems are fresh. After that, it can be left to dry without water and will hold up well.
Is it suitable as a gift?
Yes. It’s durable enough to travel well and lasts long enough after arrival to feel like a considered gift rather than a timed one. Works well on its own or paired with home fragrance products.
Will it match the photos exactly?
The photos are a close reference. Leaf size and colour depth vary slightly between batches depending on the season. The overall look is consistent.
